Mossy Creek Fly Fishing Forecast 4/8/2024

Brian brings us the forecast this week. We have amazing weather and fishing conditions to start the week. A new system will reach us Wednesday evening and bring rain through Thursday into Friday morning. On the backside of the front it will be a bit cooler and breezy Friday into Saturday. We will then have temps in the 70's again with sunny weather and fishing should be great. Dry fly fishing up in the mountains and on most of VA creeks and rivers has been good. We are seeing some caddis on the spring creeks and sulphurs should be popping off just about any day now. Water levels are full right now but running clear! Bass fishing was good yesterday and we caught some quality smallmouth and largemouth on the South Fork of the Shenandoah. Peak season is officially here and the options for mountain trout, spring creek trout, stocked trout, and bass fishing are just about endless as long as the weather and water levels play nice!
