Location X is a small piece of private water on Beaver Creek that is only accessible through guided trips with Mossy Creek Fly Fishing's guide service. This stretch is less than half a mile long but holds fish in just about every square inch. The appeal to this water is that it gets very limited pressure and holds some very big rainbows and some wild brook trout. It is not long enough for full day trip, however it is only a few miles from Mossy Creek and only a mile upstream of our other stretches of Beaver Creek making a quick and convenient spot to hit for a change of scenery. This is a fun and unique piece of Beaver Creek that gives you great spring creek water with the feel of fishing a freestone stream in the mountains! This is a great place to practice your winter and early spring nymph fishing skills or your spring and summer dry fly fishing.
Mossy Creek Fly Fishing guide Bob Cramer will be here giving out some pointers on how to tie the BEST smallmouth flies. Bob has over 30 years experience guiding for trophy fish in the Shenandoah Valley. Come watch a local master starting at 10AM. Bring a friend!
