Fly Tying and Casting Demos

We will be holding fly tying, Tenkara fishing, and casting demos on Saturday and Sunday. We have some of the best fly tiers coming back to share their trade secrets with us for our HOOK UP event. The legendary Chuck Kraft, popper king Walt Cary, smallmouth bass guide LE Rhodes, Umpqua fly designer and tiers Blane Chocklett and Andrij Horodysky will be hard at work at the vise tying the most productive patterns we have used for trout, bass, musky, carp, and just about anything that swims! Tom Sadler is an AFFTA board member and Tenkara fly fishing master. He is our fly shops exclusive Tenkara fly fishing guide and instructor. Tom will be on hand to discuss the Tenkara style fishing and demonstrate the simplicity behind it. We will also have brand new Sage and Redington fly rods and a great selection of Orvis rods to cast.

New Guiding Water On Beaver Creek

Mossy Creek Guide Service and Fishing Report

ATTENTION all fly fishermen!

We are excited to announce that we will be opening up a brand new stretch of water for our guided trips. Our staff has been working closely with many landowners in our area for years and is always building relationships to try and open more water to the public as well as enhance our offerings for our guide clientele. We currently manage 2 stretches of Mossy Creek each 1 mile long, 2 stretches of Beaver Creek totalling just over 1 mile, a stretch of Spring Creek nearly 3/4 of a mile long, we have access to a large stretch of North River, help manage 3 miles of private water on Stoney Creek at Wintergreen resort, as well as manage 1 mile of Smith Creek at Susie Q Farm. We have just recently gained exclusive access to 1 mile of water on Beaver Creek. The water on this stretch is unlike any of our other properties. There are rock bluffs over 30 feet tall and holes over 12 feet deep! We will be out manicuring the property over the next few weeks and plan on fishing it through the winter. Keep an eye on our conditions page for an opening date.

UPDATE on Susie Q Farm- Currently Susie Q Farm is closed to fishing as the property is being used for hunting. Fishing will resume by December 1st if not before. We apologize for the temporary closure of the property, the decision was out of our hands. We are continuing to take bookings through December and into 2012. See you all out on the water!

Tight Lines and Heavy Nets to All!

Sincerely,

Colby and Brian Trow
