Mossy Creek Fly Fishing offers float trips on the James and Shenandoah Rivers for smallmouth and largemouth bass and guided trips on spring creeks and freestone mountain streams. The James and Shenandoah are two of the state's best smallmouth rivers, and they fish well from mid April through October. The Shenandoah Valley boasts some of the best spring creek fishing in the country. Mossy Creek, Beaver Creek, and Smith Creek are only minutes from our shop. Our approach to guiding is to put the angler over fish that he/she can catch, and to suggest flies and techniques that have proven effective on the waters being fished. The emphasis is on safety, enjoyment, and catching fish. Instruction is available.
