This week we honor the Croakies ARC System
Our Croakies rep graciously gave me a pair about 10 months ago.
My old suiters went into the garbage can after absorbing my sweat
for the past 600 days on the water and I won't be going back to any
cloth retainer again. I must say, at first glance I thought these
things looked a bit strange but I have quickly gotten over my
vanity and recommend these suckers to anyone on or off the water.
Now, how do they work? 1st they have 2 different sized sleeves to
accommodate most any sized glasses frames. They come in different
lengths to accomodate pea sized to ogre sized domes. I personally
have the coated wire model and like it just fine, a few of our
guides have the monofilament versions and everyone seems happy. I
don't think you will notice that much of a difference in the
material you choose. The biggest bonus to these retainers is that
when you have the sunglasses on, the retainer hovers off the neck
so it doesn't even feel like you are wearing anything at all. If
you see these, give them a try. I believe you will become a
