Retractors, Zingers, retainers, whatever you call them they all
serve 1 main purpose....they keep your tools within reach and keep
them from getting lost. Now there are a lot of options out in the
fly fishing world but there is a reason most guides all over the
country are using these bad boys....They don't fall off and they
don't lose your tools! Many of the 'cheapo' zingers are attached
with small fragile wire pins or clips that pull out, bend, or break
at the slightest tug. These Fishpond retractors are held on by a
compression pin that we have yet to see fail. The reverse lock
swivel is also another key feature that keeps the swivel from ever
coming undone on its own. I have lost dozens of nippers and forceps
in the past before using these retractors. Now I'm finding myself
replacing nippers and forceps because they are wearing out before I
have a chance to lose them. At $18.00 they are a bit more expensive
than other similar products but they will pay for themselves over
