Fly Tying Classes

Looking to fill your boxes with dainty dry flies or huge deer hair bass bugs? Our expert fly tying staff will give you the confidence behind the vise you are looking for! Our classes are great for beginners or expert tiers and last around 3 hours. All tools and materials are provided. For the beginner, you will learn the basics associated with tying your own flies. Instruction will cover the proper use of all necessary tools, an overview of tying materials, and the techniques used to tie a variety of basic, proven, patterns. This class will allow you to make informed decisions on the equipment and materials you will need to get started. For experts we can help you with the techniques to tie the most difficult dry flies or big bushy deer hair bugs. All classes are private and by appointment only. We can hold classes during normal store hours 10-6 M-F or 10-5 on Saturdays year round (excluding holidays).
